1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using StandBy Clock & Photo Display ("App", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

StandBy Clock & Photo Display is a mobile application that transforms your Android device into a smart display, offering clock faces, photo slideshows, weather information, and other display features. The App is available in both free and premium versions.

3. Premium Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

The App offers the following premium options:

  • Premium Monthly Subscription: A recurring monthly subscription that automatically renews each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Premium Yearly Subscription: A recurring annual subscription that automatically renews each year unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Premium Lifetime: A one-time, non-recurring purchase granting permanent premium access.

3.1 Payment & Billing

All purchases are processed through Google Play. Payment will be charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. By subscribing, you authorize Google Play to charge the applicable subscription fee to your selected payment method.

3.2 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate as the initial subscription.

3.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store account settings (Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → StandBy Clock → Cancel). Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your paid period.

3.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact Google Play Support.

3.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect existing subscriptions until their renewal date. You will be notified by Google Play before any price change takes effect.

4. Free Features & Advertisements

The free version of the App includes advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads may include interstitial ads, rewarded video ads, banner ads, and app open ads. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.

5. User Content

The App allows you to display photos from your device's gallery. You retain all rights to your content. We do not upload, copy, or transmit your photos to any external server. All photo processing occurs locally on your device.

6. Intellectual Property

All clock designs, animations, UI elements, graphics, and code within the App are the intellectual property of Rui Codex and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our App or its included designs.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Attempt to circumvent premium access restrictions or subscription verification
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Redistribute or resell the App or any part of it
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rui Codex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, device damage (including screen burn-in), or loss of revenue, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

10. Device Responsibility

The App is designed for use as a standby/charging display. While we implement screen protection measures (pixel shifting, brightness management), prolonged display of static content may cause screen burn-in on certain display types (OLED/AMOLED). The user assumes full responsibility for device usage and any resulting screen effects.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms:

  • Google Play Services — App distribution and billing
  • Google AdMob — Advertisement delivery
  • OpenWeatherMap — Weather data provider

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
